BlueID Group Tag Protection & Limited Warranty Policy

This Tag Protection & Limited Warranty Policy ("Policy") governs the replacement and protection program for BlueID Group NFC identification tags ("Tags"). By purchasing, distributing, or using BlueID Group tags, organizations and users agree to the terms outlined below.

1. Coverage Overview

BlueID Group provides a five (5) year limited warranty on all official BlueID Group NFC tags beginning on the original date of delivery to the purchasing organization.

This warranty is designed to provide a simple, reliable replacement process for defective or non-functioning tags while maintaining fair use and preventing abuse of the program.

2. What the Warranty Covers

This limited warranty covers:

  • Manufacturer defects
  • NFC failure or non-functionality under normal use
  • Premature failure under typical job-site conditions
  • Normal wear and tear from standard workplace environments

If a tag becomes unreadable or non-functional under normal use within the five-year warranty period, BlueID Group will replace the tag at no cost, subject to review.

3. What the Warranty Does Not Cover

This warranty does not cover:

  • Intentional damage or misuse
  • Unauthorized modification or tampering
  • Improper installation or placement
  • Loss due to theft without reasonable explanation
  • Cosmetic wear that does not affect functionality
  • Damage caused by extreme or unnatural conditions outside normal job-site use

BlueID Group reserves the right to determine whether a replacement request qualifies under warranty coverage.

4. Lost or Damaged Tag Replacement

BlueID Group provides a hassle-free replacement process for lost or damaged tags to ensure worker safety and operational continuity.

Organizations or users may submit a replacement request through the BlueID Group dashboard support/warranty form.

Each request must include:

  • Organization name
  • User or supervisor name
  • Tag ID
  • Reason for replacement (lost, damaged, non-functional, etc.)

BlueID Group may approve replacement requests at its discretion. Excessive or repeated replacement requests from a single organization may be reviewed or limited to prevent abuse.

5. Fair Use & Abuse Prevention

The Tag Protection Program is designed to be simple and reliable, not unlimited.

BlueID Group reserves the right to:

  • Review replacement frequency by organization
  • Deny or limit excessive replacement requests
  • Suspend warranty privileges if misuse or abuse is suspected
  • Require additional verification for repeated claims

Abuse includes but is not limited to:

  • Repeated "lost" tag claims beyond reasonable frequency
  • Intentional destruction
  • Redistribution outside authorized organizational use

6. Replacement Terms

Approved replacements:

  • Do not reset or extend the original 5-year warranty period
  • May be fulfilled with the same or equivalent tag model
  • Will be shipped to the organization on file unless otherwise arranged

BlueID Group may, at its discretion:

  • Cover replacement shipping
  • Charge shipping for excessive replacement frequency
  • Batch replacements for organizational efficiency

7. Organizational Responsibility

Purchasing organizations are responsible for:

  • Proper distribution of tags to workers
  • Reasonable care and use
  • Notifying BlueID Group of lost or damaged tags
  • Preventing unauthorized resale or misuse

Tags remain part of the organization's operational safety system and must be managed accordingly.

8. Limitation of Liability

BlueID Group's responsibility under this Policy is limited solely to the replacement of defective or approved tags.

BlueID Group shall not be liable for:

  • Misuse of tags
  • Failure to maintain accurate emergency information
  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • Operational losses related to tag misuse or absence

9. Program Modifications

BlueID Group reserves the right to update or modify this Tag Protection & Warranty Policy at any time. Updated versions will be posted within the platform or on the company website and will apply going forward.

10. Contact & Warranty Requests

All warranty or replacement requests must be submitted through the official BlueID Group dashboard support/warranty request form or through authorized company representatives.
